As a professional dancer and instructor, my life revolves around physical movement. Therefore it was no surprise when I fell in love with yoga for its athleticism, grace, and natural rhythm. The postures presented challenges to my body I could not find in any dance class and I became addicted to the balance of strength and flexibility yoga gave me. It wasn't until practicing for several years that I discovered the other side of yoga - the emotional, mental, and spiritual benefits. I started practicing for the workout I got on the mat... I keep coming back for the repercussions yoga has on my life. A quieter mind, and kinder heart, and a more toned body is not a bad package deal! I now teach, not because I am done learning (not even close!) but because I can't help but share what I have discovered with those around me. I hope you'll join me in my continued quest to unveil a better Self, inside and out, and therefore creating a better world.
In October 2011 I opened Kamati Massage and Yoga with my dear friend, Randi Morrison. Located in historic Dilworth, you can now find me teaching an array of classes in our beautiful space. Come experience yoga in a welcoming and personal environment, meet some new friends, and get to know your BEST self!
